AGORÁ is the economic and technical arm of Critical Notions. It is the organ through which the ideas, protocols, and research become actionable in the world as designed artifacts, services, and working infrastructure. It serves as a studio, workshop, and coordination hub for all commercial and applied activities under the Institute's authority. Where the Institute's theoretical work produces frameworks, and the formation work produces practitioners, AGORÁ produces the material evidence that those frameworks and practitioners can build things that function.
All revenue generated by AGORÁ flows to the Institute. AGORÁ holds no independent equity, issues no shares, and distributes no profit to private parties. It operates as a program of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose surplus is governed by the Institute's allocation formula, directed toward the revolving fund, formation programming, infrastructure development, and the commons. External clients who engage AGORÁ for consulting, design, or fabrication are engaging the Institute itself.
